VIEC was established in 1997 by Ms. Vivienne Porter.  
 
Ms. Porter has considerable experience in education both as a teacher, Director of an English Language Centre and Director of International Centres at two Australian Institutions; Griffith University, University of Western Sydney. At the early stage of her career Ms. Porter became an accredited IELTS tester as the Director of Studies at the then Northern Territory University.  
 
VIEC's vision is to provide top quality service to prospective students wishing to study abroad. VIEC directs students only to reputed institutions. Over the years, because of its strong ethical approach, VIEC has developed great credibility in the education and student recruitment industry.  
 
VIEC was one of seven agencies in India to be granted the authority by the Australian High Commission to assess student visa applications for Australia. This was a pilot project conducted by the Australian Department of Immigration. The project entailed thorough checking of academic and financial bona fides and documentation before recommending of visa issuance.

Viec is also a preferred partner of the British Deputy High Commission promoting education in the UK.

Viec is also a member of The Association of Australian Education Representatives in India (AAERI). AAERI was formed to assure the integrity and credibility of agents who are recruiting students on behalf of Australian education and training institutions.
