VIEC was established in the year 1997 by Ms. Vivienne Porter, with its head quarters situated in New Delhi, India. Ms. Vivienne Porter has unmatched experience in the field of education. Not only has she worked as a teacher, but has also held the position of a Director at an English Language Center and at many international centers of various Australian universities like the Griffith University and the University of Western Sydney. Besides, in the initial years of her career, Ms. Porter was an accredited IELTS tester as the Director of Studies at the then Northern Territory University (now Charles Darwin University).

Founded on a vision of being an educational consultant that represents reputed institutions from world over, VIEC is rooted with strong ethics to provide comprehensive services to prospective students keen on studying abroad. Due to this principled approach, VIEC has been able to establish an excellent profile reflecting its immense credibility in the education and student recruitment industry.

VIEC has acquired such profound respect for its attempts at widening the horizons of students that the Australian High Commission included it in its prestigious pilot project, and eventually granted it an evisa lodgement facility. Pilot project rights were awarded to only six other such consultants in India at that time. Given this authority, VIEC was required to thoroughly verify the document of each student including his academic and financial papers before recommending him for visa issuance.

Trade New Zealand in close cooperation with the New Zealand Immigration department, did a thorough scrutiny of consultants operating in India in the initial phase of their marketing activities, and thereby entrusted seven consultants with the responsibility of representing their institutions in India. One of these seven consultants was VIEC.
